About This Blog

"If adventures will not befall a young lady in her own village, she must seek them abroad."
-Jane Austen

Hello Beautiful People!

You may know me; you may not, but in any case, let me give you the 411 on what is happening on this page.

I am 26-year-old college graduate who decided to take my love of teaching and traveling and combine them into the biggest adventure of my life: teaching at an international school in Indonesia.

On this blog, I plan to post pictures, videos, journals, and maybe some awesome teacher stuff that I have learned along the way.

Why am I, a girl from a small town in the Midwest, moving to the other side of the world (literally 12 time zones away)? Am I crazy? Maybe just a little: crazy about living life to its fullest.

What a lot of people don't get is that adventure doesn't just happen to you. Even Bilbo had to actually leave his house at the word of a crazy old wizard to go on his adventure. Katniss had to volunteer for the Hunger Games to find hers. Belle had to ride into an enchanted forest and trade places with her father in the face of a horrible beast to find adventure. But I digress. The point is I am done reading about adventures and think it is about time I start having my own.

The name of the blog comes from Luke 6:45 "The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks."

The abundance of my heart is a love for learning and sharing Christ's love for others.

I encourage you to go forth and speak from that which fills your heart.
